Pagsasaayos ng sports facilities para sa SEAG, minamadali

Minamadali na ang pagsasaayos ng mga government sports facilities upang magamit na ang mga ito bago pa magsimula ang 30th Southeast Asian Games (SEAG) na gaganapin sa bansa sa Nobyembre 30 hanggang Disyembre 11, 2019. 

Ayon kay Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chairman William “Butch” Ramirez, satisfied umano siya sa bilis ng development ng proyekto alinsunod sa utos ni President Rodrigo Duterte.  Dagdag pa niya, naging possible ito sa tulong ng Philippine Amusements and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) at National Historical Institute (NHI).

Ire-rehab rin umano ni Ramirez ang iba pang sports facilities sa buong bansa.  Binanggit din niya na ang pagsasaayos ng Rizal Memorial Sports Complex sa Manila, ang Philsports Sports Complex sa Pasig at Teachers’ Camp sa Baguio ay matagal nang nakalista bilang priority project ni President Duterte kahit bago pa mag host ang bansa ng 30th SEAG.

 “The President is also a sportsman. He played basketball, rides bikes, shoots, swims and many more,” ani Ramirez. “Sports is among his priorities when he was elected President of the republic and his marching order to the PSC was to rehabilitate sports venues to benefit our athletes.” ani Ramirez.
