DENR: Rehabilitasyon sa isla ng Boracay, nagtapos na!

Nagtapos na ang rehabilitasyon at pamamahala ng Boracay Inter-Agency Task Force (BIATF) sa pangunguna ng Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) sa sikat na Boracay Island.

Sa ginanap na culminating activity noong Hunyo 16, pormal na itong itinurn-over ni Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Acting Secretary at BIATF chair Jim O. Sampulna sa lokal na pamahalan.

“This turn-over means our responsibility will be turn-over to the Local government Unit. Para bang ‘yong anak namin na babae sir, ipagkakatiwala namin sayo na dapat alagaan mo katulad ng pag-alaga namin. Here, we are now turning over to you the Boracay,” ani DENR Acting Secretary at BIATF chair Jim Sampulna.

Dagdag pa nito,“The challenge here is how you can maintain Boracay’s cleanliness and sanitation, including the discipline of the people.”

Magugunitang sa pamamagitan ng Executive Order (EO) 53, binuo ni Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte noong May 8, 2018 ang BIATF, vice-chaired ng Department of Tourism (DOT) at Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
