Pangalawang brand na COVID-19 vaccine EpiVacCorona ng Russia, 100% effective –Rospotrebnadzor

INANUNSYO ni Russia’s consumer health watchdog Rospotrebnadzor na 100% effective laban sa coronavirus disease (COVID-19) ang ikalawang bakunang likha ng bansang Russia.

Ito ay base sa isinagawang Phase I at Phase II trials kung saan lumabas na ligtas ang bakuna, ngunit may side-effect pa ring maidudulot batay sa isinagawang trial sa 100 katao edad 18-60 years old.

“The effectiveness of the vaccine is made up of its immunological effectiveness and preventative effectiveness,” ulat ng TASS news agency, ayon kay Rospotrebnadzor.

“According to results of the first and second phases of clinical trials, the immunological effectiveness of the EpiVacCorona vaccine is 100%.” dagdag pa nito.

Magugunitang sinimulan ng Russia ang trial sa EpiVacCorona nitong Nobyembre 2020 na binuo ng Siberia’s Vector Institute.

Matatandaan na sinabi ng Moscow na aprubado din ang isang COVID-19 vaccine na tinawag bilang Sputnik V kung saan 92% effective ito sa pagbibigay proteksyon sa mga tao laban sa coronavirus base sa mga interim results.
