“No CCTV, No Business Permit” policy, dapat ipatupad ng LGU – DILG
Ipinag-utos ng Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) sa mga local government units (LGUs) na magpatupad ng mga ordinansa hinggil sa paglalagy ng closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems bilang isa sa mga kailangan bago maglabas ng business permit.
Sa memorandum circular (MC) No. 2022-060 ng DILG, nakasaad na required na mag-install ng CCTV ang mga sumusunod na establisyemento: bank, pawnshop, remittance center, shopping malls, movie theaters, markets, drug stores, medical facilities, airport, public terminal, parking lot, car dealership, gasoline station.
Ayon sa DILG, malaki ang tulong ng CCTV sa pagresolba ng mga krimen.
Sinabi ni DILG Secretary Eduardo Año na dapat maging prayoridad LGU ang seguridad ng publiko kasabay ng unti-unting pagbabalik ng normal na buhay ng mga mamamayan.
“Ngayon ang tamang panahon para i-require ang mga negosyo na mag-install ng CCTV. People are going out of their homes and in various establishments nowadays due to lower COVID-19 cases and a CCTV system is a powerful tool that can aid LGUs in ensuring public safety, deterring crimes, and identifying and apprehending culprits.”
