Boracay, pasok sa 25 “World’s Best Islands” ng New York-based travel Magazazine

Pasok ang Boracay Island sa “The 25 Best Islands in the World” list ng isang New York-based travel magazine na Travel + Leisure (T+L).

Nakakuha ng iskor na 90.89 ang isla ng Boracay na sikat sa puting buhangin at nakakabighaning sunset.

Kasama ng Boracay sa listahan ang Palawan at Cebu na kabilang din sa mga top destination sa bansa.

Nabingwit ng Palawan ang ika-11 na puwesto sa iskor na 900.81 habang ika-16 naman ang Cebu sa iskor na 90.12.

Inilabas ng Travel + Leisure magazine ang World’s Best rankings base sa ratings ng mga mambabasa.

Ikinatuwa ng Department of Tourism (DOT) ang pagkapasok ng tatlong top tourist destination sa bansa sa nasabing listahan.

“The Philippines is truly blessed with the unrivaled beauty of our natural resources coupled by the warmth and endless talent of the Filipinos manifested in this citation of Travel + Leisure that included our Cebu, Palawan, and Boracay in their prestigious list,” pahayag ni Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco.

Noong nakaraang taon, tanging Palawan lang ang nakapasok sa ranking ng Travel + Leisure sa puwestong ika-19.

Samantala, napasama rin ang Pilipinas sa listahan ng “The 40 Most Beautiful Countries in the World” ng lifestyle travel magazine na Condé Nast Traveler (CNT).

“May this global recognition of the beauty of our natural resources inspire our efforts to raise the Philippines’ standing in the tourism industry by introducing tourism infrastructure development and improvements that would enhance connectivity and convenience in reaching our destinations,” saad pa ni Secretary Frasco.
