4. Make everything mintier

Some varieties of mint are capable of creating an illusion that makes you feel cool when the environment around you is actually scorching hot.  Why don’t you try several of all of these tricks: eat mints after meals; place mint-scented air fresheners on different areas of the house; add mint leaves to your cold water, and dab some peppermint essential oil on your body after a cold shower?

5. Stay hydrated

Your body is 80% water and it is important to make sure that it is not lacking in fluids.  When the temperature is hot, your body will tend to sweat a lot as well to help cool it down.  So to make sure that you are not losing a lot of fluids through sweating, increase your fluid intake.  A good rule of thumb is to drink 8-10 glasses of water in a day.  As much as possible, drink a glass of water for every glass of soda and other flavored beverages.  This will prevent dehydration which can cause serious weakness, fatigue and other illnesses in extreme circumstances.

6. Cool yourself off with water

During hot season, swimming pools, beaches and rivers  are very popular outing choices because it helps in keeping cool while having a good time with family and friends.  However, due to COVID -19 pandemic, we have to stay at home to avoid getting infected.  So what can we do instead?  You can still cool off with water while inside the house.  Just have to grab a towel, dip it in cold water and place it on your forehead and shoulders.  You can also take a lot of baths to keep refreshed.

7. Move to a lower floor for now
