Isang IP Scholar sa Negros, pasado sa JLPT N3 sa Japan

NEGROS- Nakapasa sa Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) level 3 o N3 sa Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan ang isang Indigenous People (IP) scholar ng Don Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental.

Kinilala ang scholar na si Darlyn Rebatado Blacia ng Barangay Kumaliskis, isa sa nakatanggap ng Negros Occidental Scholarship Program sa ilalim ng Assistance to Grade 10 students sa Miyakonojo Higashi High School, Japan, category.

Labin-limang taong gulang lamang si Darlyn nang mag-aplay ito ng scholarship sa Japan noong taon 2018.

Napaluha naman sa kasiyahan si Karen Dinsay, head of the Negros Occidental Scholarship Program Division, nang balikan nito ang istorya ng buhay ni Darlyn habang ini-interbyu niya ito noon.

“I was teary-eyed the whole time I was interviewing Darlyn at her house three years ago. Listening to her story and being in a place she humbly calls ‘home’ strongly tugged at my heart strings, how poverty can inspire her and her siblings to strive harder”, saad nito.

Binati din ni Governor Bong Lacson si Darlyn
dahil sa ibinigay nitong parangal sa probinsiya. Ipinahayag din ni Lacson ang indikasyon ng gobyerno probinsyal upang matulungan at mabigyan ng oportunidad sa edukasyon ang mga hindi gaanong may pribilehiyo ngunit karapat-dapat na mga mag-aaral sa Negros Occidental.

Ito umano ang unang kasaysayan sa Negros Occidental na may nakapasa sa N3 ng Japan at isa pa umanong Indigenous People (IP).
