VICO SOTTO, ITINANGHAL NG US DEPT. BILANG “INTERNATIONAL ANTICORRUPTION CHAMPION”

KINILALA si Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto bilang isa sa 12 recipients ng International Anticorruption Champions Award ng Estados Unidos.

Kabilang si Sotto sa dumidepensa sa “transparency, combat corruption and ensure accountability,” ayon kay US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

Batay sa US State Department, si Sotto ay isang “standard-bearer for a new generation of Philippine politicians who prioritize anti-corruption and transparency initiatives in their election campaigns and in office.”

Maliban kay Sotto, binigyan din ng award sina Ardian Dvorani ng Albania, Diana Salazar ng Ecuador, Sophia Pretrick ng Federated States of Micronesia, Juan Francisco Sandoval Alfaro ng Guatemala, Ibrahima Kalil Gueye ng Guinea sa West Africa, Anjali Bhardwaj ng India, Dhuha A. Mohammed ng Iraq, Bolot Temirov ng Kyrgyz Republic, Mustafa Abdullah Sanalla ng Libya, Francis Ben Kaifala sang Sierra Leone in West Africa at Ruslan Ryaboshapka ng  Ukraine.
