Tuloy ang curfew kahit tapos na ang Bayanihan Act ayon sa Malacañang

Hindi ihihinto ang pagpapatupad na mga curfew, ayon sa Malacañang, matapos man implementasyin ng Republic Act 11469 o Bayanihan to Heal as One Act.

Hindi umano maaring huminto ang National Government na tugunan ang problema ng COVID-19 kahit tapos na ang Bayanihan Act, ito ang naging pahayag ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.


Matatandaang nagbigay ng komento si Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon na sa pagtatapos ng Bayanihan Act, hindi na pwedeng ipatupad ng pamahalaan ang mga curfews at pagbabawal sa mass gatherings.

Kaugnay nito, sinagot ito ni Roque na ang mga ordinansa na ipinalabas ng mga local government units tungkol sa curfews ay epektibo pa rin.

Ayon naman kay Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo mapanganib ang naging pahayag ni Drilon at maaaring humikayat ito sa mga mamamayan na manggulo at sirain ang katahimikan ng bansa.

Dagdag pa ni Panelo, “Senator Drilon’s comments with respect thereto, and with due respect to him, are not only misplaced but it dangerously encourages citizens to engage in acts detrimental to the safety and security of the populace, as well as the peace and order of the nation.”
