PDUTERTE, NILINAW NA HINDI SIYA NANGAKO KAUGNAY SA ISYU NG WEST PHILIPPINE SEA NOONG KAMPANYA

Nilinaw ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na hindi siya nangako ukol sa isyu ng West Philippine Sea noong nangampanya siya para sa Presidential elections taong 2016.

Aniya, seryosong usapin ang West Philippine Sea.

“I never, never in my campaign as president promised the people that I would retake the West Philippine Sea. I did not promise that I would pressure China. I never mentioned about China and the Philippines in my campaign because that was a very serious matter,” saad ng pangulo.

Dagdag pa ng presidente, trabaho ng Department of Foreign Affairs na makipag-usap sa China kaugnay sa West Philippine Sea.

“We need to have a diplomatic talkatise diyan. Eh hindi ako diyan — nandiyan sa ating Foreign Affairs, trabaho nila ‘yan,” paliwanag nito.

“Just because I’m President gusto ninyo makipag-away ako. Walang kuwestiyon ‘yan. Maski ngayon mayroon tayong barko diyan ngayon sa ano. Sabi ko stay put kayo.”

Mababatid na noong 2016 sinabi ni Duterte sa presidential debate, na magji-jetski siya sa West Philippine Sea bitbit ang watawat ng Pilipinas pero kalauna’y nilinaw niya ito na isang biro lang.

“Dala-dala ko ‘yung flag ng Filipino at pupunta ako dun sa airport nila tapos itanim ko. Then I would say, ‘This is ours and do what you want with me,” ani Duterte.
