Japan nagbigay ng ₱24 billion loan para sa COVID-19 response ng Pilipinas

Nagpautang ang Japan ng 50-billion yen (P24-billion pesos) sa Pilipinas bilang suporta sa bansa laban sa pandemya.

Ang naturang loan ay tinawag na Called Post Disaster Stand-by Loan Phase 2 (PDSL 2).

Nilagdaan ito nina Japanese Ambassador to the Philippines Koji Haneda at Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. sa isang seremonya sa DFA office sa Pasay City.

Layon nitong suportahan ang Pilipinas na pangasiwaan ang natural disaster concerns, labanan ang COVID-19, at pagbangon ng ekonomiya sa pamamagitan ng pag-promote ng disaster preparedness at pagtugon ng mabilis na disbursing budgetary support sa calamity response.

Ang PDSL 2, ang pinamalaking loan na naibigay ng Japan sa mga developing countries.

“Japan will continue to be responsive to the needs of the Philippines in its bid to fight the COVID- 19 crisis, beef up disaster risk management efforts and achieve faster economic recovery,” pahayag ng Japanese Embassy.
