(UPDATE) DFA, KINUMPIRMA NA UMABOT NA SA 31 PINOY ANG SUGATAN, 4 NASAWI SA PAGSABOG SA BEIRUT LEBANON

Kinumpirma ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) na umabot na sa 31 na mga Filipinos ang sugatan sa pagsabog nitong Agosto 4, batay sa Philippine Embassy sa Beirut, Lebanon.

Ikinalulungkot naman ni Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Sarah Lou Arriola ang naturang development.

“We are saddened by the latest turn of developments. The higher figure comes as our Embassy personnel work to ascertain the condition of the Filipinos in its jurisdiction,” ani Arriola.

Maliban sa mga sugatan, kinumpirma din ng Philippine Embassy sa Beirut na apat na ang naitalang nasawi dahil sa nangyaring insdente.

Dalawang Pinoy naman ang nasa kritikal na kondisyon habang patuloy naman itong mino-monitor.

“Our Embassy officials shall continue to ascertain the condition of our community in Beirut. The DFA reaffirms its commitment to bring the much needed support and assistance to our kababayans specially at this hour of need,” dagdag pa ni Arriola.
