Himalayas nasilayan sa India dahil sa pagbaba ng air pollution sa gitna ng lockdown

Muling nasilayan ang Himalayas sa India sa unang pagkakataon sa loob ng ilang dekada matapos bumaba ang naitalang air pollution dahil sa coronavirus lockdown.

Nabighani ang mga residente ng Punjab sa Northern India sa ganda ng Himalayan Mountain Range na masisilayan mula sa kanilang mga tahanan.


Ibinahagi pa ng mga residente ang kanilang mga larawan online, na nagpapakita ng magandang tanawin.

Ayon pa sa isang post, sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon sa halos 30 taon, malinaw na nakikita na ang Himalayas.

“For the first time in almost 30 years (I) could clearly see the Himalayas due to India’s lockdown clearing air pollution. Just amazing,” ani Manjit Kang.

Ipinatupad ang lockdown sa India nitong Marso 22.

Inanunsiyo ni Prime Minister Narendra Modi ang pag-uutos hinggil sa implementasyon ng total lockdown.

Batay sa datos ng Central Pollution Control Board ng India, gumanda ang kalidad ng hangin sa naturang bansa.

“Data shows that on average, Indian cities had an AQI [Air Quality Index] of 115 between March 16 and 24.”

“The air quality started showing improvements from the first day of the 21-day lockdown. The average AQI fell to 75 in the first three days of the lockdown.”
