Amerika, suportado ang protesta ng Pinas vs China

Suportado ng United States ang protesta ng Pilipinas laban sa China matapos mamataan ang mahigit 200 barko sa West Philippine Sea.

“We stand with the Philippines, our oldest treaty ally in Asia,” pahayag ni US Embassy spokesman Heather Fabrikant.

“The [People’s Republic of China] uses maritime militia to intimidate, provoke, and threaten other nations, which undermines peace and security in the region,” dagdag ni Fabrikant.

Nananatili pa rin ang 183 mula sa 220 barko ng China sa Julian Felipe Reef.

Umapela na rin si Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana na alisin na ang mga barko sa bahurang sakop ng bansa.

“We note Secretary of National Defense Lorenzana’s call for the PRC to recall the boats and Secretary of Foreign Affairs (Toodoro) Locsin’s filing of a diplomatic protest,” giit ni Fabrikant.

Itinanggi naman ng Chinese embassy na ang mga barko ay pinumumunuan ng Chinese maritime militia.

Anila pa na sakop ng Nansha Islands ng China ang Julian Felipe Reef.

Ang nasabing bahura ay nasa loob ng Philippine Exclusive Economic Zone and Continental Shelf.
