WRECKAGE NG BUMAGSAK NA EROPLANO, NATAGPUAN MAKALIPAS ANG 78 TAON

Natagpuan ng dalawang babae kamakailan, ang mga labi ng bumagsak na eroplano sa kabundukan ng Scottland, makalipas ang 78 taon nang mangyari ang sakuna.

Kinilala ang dalawang magkaibigang nakadiskubre nito na sina Pamela Aitken, 39 taong gulang, at Kathryn Gaffney, na 53 taong gulang naman. Ayon sa kanila, naglalakad-lakad sila sa gilid ng Irish Law Mountain ng makita nila ang animo’y nakatambak na mga bakal.

Kabilang sa mga ito ang mismong makina, ang landing gear, at bahagi ng pakpak ng eroplano.

Saad ni Aitken, “I couldn’t believe how much of it was still there and some parts were all still intact.”

Pinaniniwalaan umano na ang wreckage ay mula sa British European Airways Flight S200P na bumulusok noong April 21, 1948. Ito ay byaheng London-Northolt Airport to Glasgow-Renfrew Airport nang maganap ang sakuna kung saan lulan nito ang 20 pasahero.

Ang pagbagsak ng eroplano ay sanhi umano ng pilot error. Maswerteng nakaligtas ang lahat ng sakay nito kabilang na ang crew, subalit 13 sa mga ito ang sugatan.
