Lolo tumawag ng higit 24,000 beses sa telecom company para magreklamo, arestado sa Japan

Inaresto ng pulisya ang isang senior citizen sa Japan na pinaniniwalaang sangkot sa fraudulent obstruction of business matapos itong tumawag sa telecom provider ng 24,000 beses upang magreklamo na nilabag umano ng kumpanya ang kanyang kontrata.

Base sa impormasyon ng Tokyo Metropolitan Police spokesman, kinilala ang senior citizen na si Akitoshi Okamoto, 71 anyos, at kasalukuyang nasa ilalim ng kostudiya ng pulisya.

Pauli-ulit umanong tumawag si Okamoto sa customer service hotline ng giant telecom na KDDI, aniya tumawag umano ito ng 411 beses sa loob ng isang linggo

“He demanded that KDDI staff come to him to apologize for violating his contract. He also repeatedly hung up the calls as soon as someone picked up.”

“The suspect was upset that his phone was not able to pick up radio broadcasts. Okamoto denies the charges, telling police “I am the victim.” dagdag pa ng spokesman ng pulis.

Sinabi pa ng KDDI na nakatanggap umano sila ng mga tawag mula kay Okamoto simula noong Mayo 2017. Kalaunan ay nag pasya ng mag-file ang kompanya ng damage report sa pulisya dahil napadalas na daw ang pagtawag nito sa customer service hotline, na kung saan nakakagambala na daw ito sa negosyo.

Magugunitang sa ilalim ng Japanese law, kung sinuman ang pumipigil sa isang negosyo mula sa normal na operasyon ay maaaring masampahan ng kasong “fraudulent obstruction of business” at maaaring maparusahan hanggang sa tatlong taong pagkabilanggo.
