Nanawagan ng suporta si Mayor Jerry Treñas, para kay Miss Universe Philippines Rabiya Mateo.

“Rabiya sizzles in her Philippine flag inspired national costume and wore a patriotic power suit during her preliminary interview,” pahayag ng alkalde.

Aniya, ipinagmamalaki ng mga Ilonggo si Rabiya Mateo. Pinatunayan umano niya ang tanyag na quote na, “Basta Ilongga, gwapa”.

“We are very proud of Rabiya Mateo as she raised the flag of the country and as she proves the famous quote, “Basta Ilongga, gwapa. Not just beautiful but has expressed the courage despite all odds in Miss Universe pageant.”
